Preview are Celebrating 35 years in Pukekohe

To celebrate 35 years in business, Preview Pukekohe have teamed up with Million Meters Streams, a nationwide waterway restoration project!

Million Meters is an online fundraising platform dedicated to restoring New Zealand's streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands. Its goal is to raise funds to plant one million meters of waterway with native plants and trees.

Preview has jumped on board to help restore a local waterway on Awhitu Peninsula.

The Big Bay Pond Planting Project

The Blake's have owned their farm on the Awhitu Peninsula for 18 years. It covers 2 km of coastline on the Manukau Harbour.

For the last two years they have been trying to do their part to improve the quality of the waterways that run off their farm and in to the harbour.

They are fundraising to plant 1350 native plants and trees around a pond. This will help stabilise its banks, reduce erosion, filter pollutants and provide natural habitats for wildlife.

How can you help?

For the next 4 weeks they are running an in store fundraiser. You will be able to gift a $5 native tree on top of your purchase. So they’ll be asking if you want trees (not fries!) with that.

They'll also be getting their hands dirty at the planting day. You can sign up in store to join us.

Everyone who donates in store or on the Million Metres website (make sure that you type in 'Preview' when asked about how you found out about the project) will go into the draw to win a $500 Augustine gift voucher to spend at Preview Pukekohe.

Congratulations Preview for reaching this amazing milestone and for everything you are doing to help clean up the beautiful waterways of our community.
