Pukekohe Station project- Parking updates

Pukekohe Station project updates

Works on stage two of the Pukekohe Station upgrade will commence Monday, 10 July 2017.
• The $15.4 million project will cover the build of the new park and ride area, improved bus station facilities and a pedestrian overbridge at the new integrated bus and train station. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2018.
• New station facilities will link bus services with the existing rail services. Commuter parking space and cycle parking will be provided along with improved connections to the local road and footpath networks.

KiwiRail land closed, 10 July 2017
• As part of the Pukekohe Station upgrade, the KiwiRail land near the V8 bridge, unofficially used for car parking, will be closed indefinitely from Monday 10 July 2017.
• The V8 Bridge will remain open to the public. Pedestrian access to the overbridge will be via the footpath running along the fence line on the right hand side of the KiwiRail land as you enter from Custom Street.
• The closure will allow construction to continue on the next stage of the Pukekohe Station upgrade which includes construction of a new park and ride area. If you use this parking facility, please make alternative plans. Given there is limited on street parking nearby, you may want to consider taking the bus to and from the station. With new Simpler Fares, you can pay one fare for using up to 5 buses and trains across 4 hours, with no more than a 30 min transfer using your AT HOP card. Excludes SkyBus. Terms of use for AT HOP cards are available at AT.govt.nz/athopterms
