"Having spent the past 25 years in Pukekohe, and working mostly out of the area, the enjoyment of living, working and doing business in Pukekohe sounded absolutely perfect.

My life in Franklin started off in Waiuku, having owned and run a Garden Centre business with my then husband for nearly 9 years. I spent some time as a sales rep/merchandiser mixed with kindergarten teaching while we created a family, then was successfully employed in the BID town management field, which I enjoyed immensely and have done so now for many years.

Having worked largely outside of the area has had its challenges, from travel times, to work/family life balance, but also gave me significant insight into the town centre management process from varying perspectives. Each BID (Business Improvement District) has varying business types, wants and needs, and Pukekohe is no exception.

In my capacity as interim BID Manager, I bring several years of past experience in Economic Development and Town Management which I hope will hold the Pukekohe Business Association in good stead while the current manager is on extended maternity leave.

As for me personally, I enjoy a spot of gardening, travel, and sing for the Franklin Country Music Club. I enjoy running events, and do so in my spare time and plan to learn the Banjo.
